Highly rated local coaches will be guiding some of the provincial rugby teams into the Digicel Cup competition which kicks off this Saturday.

Many eyes will be on the capital city side Suva who finished their campaign well at the end of last year with the guidance of Salimoni Ravouvou.

Newcomers Namosi will be the team to look out for which has the guidance of former Fiji 7s assistant coach Timoci Wainiqolo who will be utilizing most of his Wardens players.

Nadroga will be looking to defend their title and Nadroga team manager Paula Biu said they are expecting tough competition this year.

Meanwhile, Digicel gave $22,000 each to the 12 teams along with their sports gear to assist them in their campaign.

In the games this Saturday at 3pm, Tailevu will take on Nadi, Naitasiri plays Nadroga, Namosi meets Lautoka, Suva hosts Tavua, Vatukoula takes on Northland while Ovalau will meet Macuata.
