Waisake Naholo and Patrick Osborne each scored impressive tries last to help the Highlanders claim a convincing 48-15 victory over the Sharks.
The Highlanders outscored the Sharks by seven tries to two in the contest and the Highlanders points tally is their highest ever against the Sharks in the 18 contests between the teams.
Meanwhile, the Waratahs earned a fourth straight victory over the Brumbies by beating them 13-10 last night.
The win moves the Waratahs up into the top six on 31 points.
In today’s super rugby matches, the Blues meet the Western Force at 5.30pm, Hurricanes clash with the Crusaders at 7.35pm while the Rebels take on the Chiefs at 9.40pm.
