The Otago Highlanders have recorded an impressive win against the Suva President 15s side in their Super 14 warm up match at Churchill Park this afternoon winning 35-17.

Suva surprised the visitors when they opened the scoring in the 15th minute to hooker Sireli Ledua.

But the Highlanders bounced back to score 4 quick tries at halftime to lead 28-12 when Suva locks Mosese Vasuitoga score Suva's second try.

The Otago Highlanders just managed to score only one try in the second half, for the scoreboard to 35 points while the Suva side scored another try through Joeli Nabogikolo to finish the game on 17 points.

Highlanders coach Greg Moore said his side needed this game in Fiji as they will face this same type of climate when they will play their Super 14 game in South Africa.
