They have won three on the trot and are well placed in this year’s standings after the opening month, but last year’s champions the Highlanders are not resting on their honor.
Despite racing out to a 30‑0 lead over the Waratahs last weekend, the Highlanders conceded 26 unanswered points to only just hang on for victory.
The dull second half performance continued a worrying trend of switching off in the second 40 minutes after also conceding the final two tries against the Lions a week earlier.
Highlanders will take on Rebels at 8.40 tonight while Force will host Chiefs at 6.35pm.
