Fijian born and Highlanders wing Patrick Osborne scored a brilliant try last night to help his side beat Super Rugby defending champion Chiefs 29-25.
The win sees the Highlanders top the New Zealand Conference while it ends the Chiefs’ hopes of defending their Super Rugby crown as they now sit six points off the Highlanders, with playoff rivals yet to play.
In another match, the Reds beat the Rebels 36-20.
Tonight, the Hurricanes will take on the Crusaders at 7.35pm, the Waratahs meet the Brumbies at 9.40pm while at 11.40pm, the Force meet the Blues.
