The continuous cycle of lawyers leaving the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is to be expected as many people who join the office eventually decide to move on and join private practice of become magistrates or judges.

The longest serving prosecutor at the DPP's Office at this stage is the Deputy DPP, David Toganivalu who has been there for nine years.

In an interview with Fijivillage, Toganivalu said it is just a fact that many new lawyers join the DPP's Office for experience.
