World Rugby says the high number of senior staff leaving the Fiji Rugby Union is a cause for concern.

Radrodro Tabulevu announced his resignation as Fiji Rugby CEO last month after just 15 months in the job.

He was the fifth person to have filled the position on a permanent or temporary basis in the past four and a half years.

World Rugby's Regional General Manager for Asia and Oceania, William Glenwright says it's not an ideal situation.

He says they have raised the issue with the Fiji Ruby Union and have met with them formally during the Rugby World Cup and also side visits to Fiji.

Glenwright says it is something that they need to address and they are working with the Fiji Rugby Union in a collaborative manner.

He stresses that their focus at the moment is on creating a robust selection criteria for a replacement CEO for the Fiji Rugby Union.
