There are high hopes that America based airline company Continental Micronesia would be given the green light to start flights in and out of Fiji.
Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said this will open new doors between Fiji, Japan and the American market as the airline currently accounts for over 850,000 outbound passengers each year.
Talks are now underway between the Department of Civil Aviation and Continental Micronesia to provide nonstop twice weekly services between Fiji and the American ports of Honolulu and Guam.
