The Suva High Court this morning remanded three people in custody who are charged with conspiracy to commit arson and attempted arson.
Hem Chand and Veer Chand of Omkar road Narere and Navin Yogesh Lal of Caubati are alleged to have burnt the vehicle belonging to the Police Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra last month.
High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo while remanding the men said the offence is serious and a threat to security.
The court heard that accused Hem Chand and Veer Chand who are immediate neighbours of the complainant allegedly colluded with Navin Lal on the early hours of 14th March and committed the alleged offence.
Their case has been adjourned to 30th May for mention.
