The Telecom Fijiana team has a high chance of qualifying for the Rio Olympics next year as they look strong to win the Oceania 7s this weekend.
Coaching Director of Women’s Rugby, Chris Cracknell, announced the 12 players last week and hopes they get to join the Mens team in Rio next year.
The 2015 Oceania 7s and Olympic qualifier, sees the Telecom Fijiana pooled with Tonga, Samoa, Papua New Guinea and the Cook Islands.
The team recently won the Plate Final at the Central Coast 7s in Australia and will depart our shores this Wednesday.
The Oceania 7s will be held this Saturday and Sunday in Auckland.
