High Court Judge Thomas Hickie has reserved his ruling on the Great Council of Chiefs matter after former Great Council of Chiefs Chairman, Ratu Ovini Bokini, Ratu Sakiusa Makutu, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau and Ratu Ratavo Lalabalavu challenged their termination from the GCC by the former Interim Fijian Affairs Minister, Ratu Epeli Ganilau last year.
Justice Hickie in his ruling today stated that the matter be stayed pending the judgment of the Fiji Court of Appeal in the Qarase vs Bainimarama case.
Justice Hickie said the matter be listed for mention at 8.30am on the 1st of June 2009, to see if the Judgment has been handed down by the Fiji Court of Appeal.
