The Suva High Court today cancelled the order of community work given to a wheelbarrow boy and sentenced him to three months imprisonment after he failed to appear in court last week.

Tione Meli was sentenced on 15th August this year to do twenty hours of community work for unlawful use of illicit drugs and was suppose to appear in court last Monday.

Meli failed to appear and he was arrested after a bench warrant was issued. Justice Denial Gounder sentenced him today.

Meli is also charged with similar offences and will appear in court next month.
