The Australian High Commission in Fiji is yet to release a statement on questions raised by Fiji's Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama on when the Fiji High Commission's status in Australia will be upgraded.
Questions have been raised as Fiji's High Commissioner to Australia in Canberra Kamlesh Arya still has an acting status.
When Fijivillage contacted Australian High Commissioner to Fiji James Batley, he refused to make any comments.
Batley who is in Australia for the Pacific Islands Forum, has reportedly said that he only speaks to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Fiji and no such requests have been made.
