The Taukei Navo Ratu Meli Saukuru said they are delighted after the Government gave $3.7 million to fund for the drediging work of the Nadi River.
Saukuru said people of the Jet Set town will not be affected by the continuous flooding which cost them millions of dollars in damages when the Nadi river burst its banks and will help save lives.
Nadi River is expected to see a further 360,000 cubic meters of dredge soil being removed beginning from Moala village moving inland.
