The Turaga na Kalevu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu is currently at the village hall at Naevuevu to pay a visit to the survivors of the tragic accident that happened last night at Malaqereqere, Sigatoka.

According to the village headman, Ratu Kelevi Cavuduadua said Ratu Makutu's presence meant a lot to the people of Nadroga/Navosa as the paramount chief. Along with Ratu Makutu in a packed village hall were people with links from Lomaiviti who brought with them food and clothes.

Meanwhile Ratu Cavuduadua adds that the survivors have been medically examined and are ready to travel back to Suva. The village headman was also delighted to speak to the Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama who has offered his assistance to the survivors from Ovalau to help them with transportation of required.
