The Suva City Council is pushing the Hibiscus Festival Committee to complete the cleanup of Albert Park soon as possible.
Town Clerk, Ilitomasi Verenakadavu said the committee has delayed the cleaning up process and the reason they gave was that to look for another contractor. He added the contractors has started a major cleanup of the Albert Park from this morning as their health department officials are monitoring the clean up.
He believes the cleanup will be completed by tomorrow.
Concerns were raised on Monday by Mayor Ratu Peni Volavola that Hibiscus Festival Committee failed to adhere to the agreement made between them.
