The feeling of helping others brings us much joy and we hope to learn a lot during our stay here in Fiji.
These are the words of Todd Silver one of the US peace corp volunteers, sworn in today at the official residence of the US Ambassador.
Silver who delivered one of the speeches in this morning’s ceremony in Fijian, said he has learned a lot during his stay with his host family, and is looking forward to heading off to visiting Bua.
More than 20 peace corp volunteers were sworn in today and will be based at different villages and locations around the country to carry out community work.
The chief guest at the ceremony was Permanent Secretary for PSC, Parmesh Chand.
