Officials from the Primary Industry have been sent to various banks to inform them of the plight of dairy farmers who have been affected by the Brucellosis outbreak.

Media Liaison Officer Jo Uluilakeba said while a budget of $2million dollars has been given by government for testing and compensation, payment will only be made after the testing period is completed.

Uluilakeba said in the meantime they understand that some farmers have loans to pay and that is why they have sent their teams to various banks.
