Help is on its way to Southern Lau.

Le Vendemiaire, the French surveillance frigate based in New Caledonia has arrived into the country to help those affected by Cyclone Tomas in the Lau group and is scheduled to leave this afternoon from the Kings Wharf.

French Attache for this mission, Loïc Davaillon said this is part of the FRANZ agreements which provides for a joint assistance of France, Australia and New Zealand in case of natural disease in the South Pacific area adding officials have started loading the ship with more supplies to take to Lau.
