Oceania's lone representative in the FIFA Club World Cup, Hekari United registered their first loss going down 3-nil to UAE Al Wahda in the opening match of the Club World Cup.

The team laced with a total five Fiji players like goal keeper Simione Tamanisau, Alvin Singh, Pita Bolaitoga, Malakai Tiwa and Osea Vakatalesau failed to impress.

While it was a comfortable win for the hosts, they very nearly found themselves lose track of the game six minutes into the game, when Hekari came within a shock opening score from a header from Bolaitoga.

The game took a twist as the PNG team tried to regain momentum and this saw them commit a total of 16 fouls with Abraham Iniga copping a yellow card.

Al Wahda will now take on Asian champions Seongnam Ilhwa this Saturday.
