Angie Heffernan will be filing a judicial review on the termination of her appointment as Commissioner of the Legal Aid Commission.
The Director of Pacific Centre for Public Integrity reputes the Interim Attorney General, Aiyz Saiyed Khaiyum's decision to terminate her from the Commission saying he does not have the power to do so.
Heffernan states the real reason for her termination, was because the PCPI has consistently taken a strong stand against the coup and the interim government.
The Interim Attorney General is expected to comment later this afternoon.
