Pacific Centre for Public Integrity Director, Angie Heffernan said the Interim Attorney General's comments against her recent case in the High Court are just made to divert attention away from the real issue.
Heffernan clarifies that the legal fees are not paid for by overseas countries, namely Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier today, the Interim Attorney General raised concern that Heffernan had strangely and improperly filed a case in the High Court on issues which have already being addressed by the Fiji Court of Appeal.
Sayed Khaiyum had said that Heffernan, after three months is seeking to go back to the High court with a constitutional redress application to challenge the ruling and the orders made by the court of appeal.
Sayed Khaiyum had said that they would ask the court to strike out this application as this will be waste of time and foreign aid given to PCPI.
