The newly appointed Supervisor of Elections Felicity Heffernan took over her official duties at the Elections Office in Suva yesterday.
After concerns were raised earlier by the Constitutional Officers Commission that they could not contact Heffernan in New Zealand, Commission Chairman Rishi Ram said they are relieved as Heffernan arrived in Fiji on Wednesday.
Heffernan is expected to be briefed by the Electoral Commission Chairman M. K. Sahu Khan and the Constitutional Boundaries Commission Chairman Suresh Chandra later today.
