Most of the shops in Ba Town have closed as heavy rain continues.
Station Officer Ba, Inspector Peniasi Nabuta said they are waiting for the 3 o'clock high tide to see how far up water levels rise.
Meanwhile, Kumkum area in Ba, which is a low lying area, is also under 2 feet flood water.
Bus services have also been suspended, as several areas and bridges are under flood waters in Ba and the roads are closed to all traffic.
More than 23 houses in Koroqaqa, Ba are also under flood waters and the families have moved to higer ground. Confirmation also that the Queens Highway at Sarava, Ba is also under flood water and is now closed to all traffic.
As for Rakiraki Naqoro flats, the town area, market area and Qalau are flooded. However, shops remain open.
In Lautoka, the Kings road is open for traffic and flood waters have receded in the Sarawa and Karavi areas.
