A heavy rain warning is now in force for the Eastern half of Viti Levu, Lomaiviti group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.

The Nadi weather office said a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji and associated cloud and rain will affect the group.

Localized heavy falls may lead to flash flooding in low lying areas.

According to the weather officer, Nausori received 102mm rainfall since Saturday while Laucala Bay received 89.3mm rainfall.
