Heavy rainfall in Nadi has forced the closure of Nadi Back road again.
A Nadi resident, Dinesh Pillay said flood waters are again rising in the river. He said there is no water and power supply in many parts of Nadi.
Nadi, Namaka Resident, James Robert said due to the heavy rain people are rushing around doing last minute shopping as they know that food items may run out or they may not be able to access the shopping centres due to floods.
Nadi, Votualevu Resident Nacanieli Nabukavou said right now the way things look with the heavy rain being experienced, the Nadi river will burst its banks again and low lying areas will again flood.
In Sigatoka, the situation is improving slowly as flood waters have receded in many places. Police confirm the only interior of Sigatoka including Draiba Bridge, Vatubalavu and Matewai roads are still flooded. There is no power and water supply in parts of Sigatoka.
