Heavy rain has eased in Nadi in the last hour however Nadi mayor Timoci Koroiqica has called on residents living in low lying areas to start moving to higher ground before it gets dark.
Koroiqica said flood waters are still in parts of town and low lying areas near the Nadi river continues to rise.
Namaka resident Asaeli Moce said more parts of Nadi are now flooded and DISMAC has started to evacuate people in low lying areas.
