The scorching Suva heat will not be used as an excuse for visiting teams when the Uprising Fiji International 7s gets underway at the TFL Stadium tomorrow morning.
Former All Blacks number 8 and New Zealand 7s Maori technical adviser Buck Shelford has told his players that to win in Fiji they have to face the fact of playing under the hot conditions.
Shelford said that most of his players are new to the 7s rugby code and this weekend they have a chance to prove themselves against some of the best in the game.
For the host team Uprising owner Rene Munch who has travelled to most parts of the World with his side believes that this tournament will be the toughest for any side to win.
The Uprising Fiji International 7s kicks off tomorrow at 9am with Samoa playing against Nadroga and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti-FM.
