Due to the planned water shutdown which is currently being experienced in Nausori, Rewa, Nasinu, Tailevu and parts of Suva till 10am this morning, the opening times for health centres in the Central Division have been changed.

The Health Ministry said contingency plans are in place for centers that will be affected, and members of the public are informed that the Valelevu and Raiwaqa Health Centres will open for half day from mid day today and you are to seek medical attention at the CWMH or Makoi Health Centre in the case of emergencies.

Permanent Secretary for Health, Dr. Sala Saketa has also reminded parents to store water safely and boil all water for drinking during the shutdown period, and continue proper hand washing habits should continue to be practiced to promote good health and prevent the spread of infections.
