As nurses are into their 16th day of strike, emergency services, public health services and special outpatient clinics are slowly being provided in the Central/Eastern Division.
Director Health Services Central/Eastern, Doctor Salanieta Saketa said although services are not up to par, health workers are still catering to the needs of the public.
Saketa had earlier confirmed that as of yesterday, 22 striking nurses in total had returned to work at the Colonial War Memorial hospital and at sub-divisional hospitals in the Central/Eastern Division.
She had also confirmed that 30 retired nurses had been brought in to help out as a result of the strike.
The Northern and Western Division updates are still being compiled by health officials.
