The Health Ministry officials will visit Rewa and Tailevu this week to raise awareness about handling food in a hygienic way.
Health Spokesperson, Iliesa Tora said that they are focusing on training the market vendors with the Suva City Council as the two provinces are mostly involved in selling seafood and cooked food at the market.
Meanwhile, the Suva City Council said they will only lift the ban on selling cooked food at the market after they are completely satisfied that the food is safe. SCC officials met with the market vendors last week to discuss health issues with them.
SCC banned cooked food at the market after a woman died after consuming the food.
