The Health Ministry will soon out-source its Laundry and Cleaning services.
Media Liaison Officer, Iliesa Tora said the Cabinet has approved the formation of a task force and the conduct of a feasibility study on out-sourcing of laundry and cleaning services.
According to Tora, the permanent employees in the Laundry and Cleaning sections will be re-deployed to vacant positions within the Ministry, while the company awarded the tender will be given the option to also recruit temporary employees.
The Ministry is also encouraging employees to form a company and apply for tender.
Meanwhile, the security services at the Ministry have been out-sourced to two private companies to provide security services at all health facilities.
