The Ministry of Health is looking at ways to retain the services of some retired nurses and doctors who are 55 years.
This follows the decision made by the Government that every member of the civil service who turns 55 years and above by the end of this month must retire.
Health Ministry spokesperson Iliesa Tora clarifies that a number is yet to be confirmed before the Ministry takes their submissions to the Public Service Commission.
Meanwhile the retirement age for the civil service including the Police Force and Prisons Service has been set at 55 years according to the new State Services Decree.
