The Health Ministry is expected to finalise the total cost of damage to health facilities in the North and in the Lau group once all assessment reports have been handed in.
Teams are currently carrying out assessment reports in the North and Lau Group to assess on the damages done to the various hospitals and health centres.
Commissioner Northern Colonel Inia Seruiratu had confirmed that health teams are visiting the worst affected areas in the North and also trying to avoid an outbreak of diseases.
Latest reports of damage from the Lau group show that the Lomaloma hospital and the nurses barrack on Vanuabalavu have been damaged.
