The Ministry of Health has appreciated the support given by the blood donors.
Spokesperson, Iliesa Tora said this will help in ensuring that there is sufficient blood supply to be used during the Cardiac team operations that are expected to be carried out at the CWM hospital this Saturday.
Tora said the Fiji Military Forces have given their full support. He said the Landforce Commander Colonel Pita Driti and his team have agreed to donate blood to the Ministry's Blood Bank over a two week period.
Meanwhile Tora earlier highlighted that the Blood Bank needs 50 pints of "O Positive" blood type.
