The Health Ministry is now going to carry out their own internal investigation as to why 12 year old Ratu Jone Lewenilovo was sent home over the weekend after supposedly being hit by a coconut over the weekend, which eventually led to his death.
General manager Health Services Northern Sister Selina Waqa confirmed that she will be heading out on the first flight to Taveuni tomorrow morning.
However, Sister Waqa confirmed that she was briefed by Taveuni health officials and what she understands is that the doctors did not see any problem with Lewenilovo before they sent him home.
