The Health Minister Dr Neil Sharma led a team of health officials to the highlands of Navosa yesterday to inspect work on the progress of the vaccination program on the current typhoid outbreak.

Health Spokesman Iliesa Tora said of the 150 suspected cases, out of that number, 30 were confirmed cases of typhoid.

Tora said some have been treated well, while others have been sent to Sigatoka Hospital for further treatment and observation.

Tora also confirmed that health officials have vaccinated more than 1,900 people to prevent typhoid.
