The major problems faced by various health centers in the Eastern Division are being seriously looked at so that people do not suffer.
Ministry of Health's General Manager Community Health, Dr Sala Saketa said the shortage of doctors and nurses in the outer islands of the Eastern Division is worrying and the Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the situation.
Dr Saketa they have looked at various outreach programmes which will address the staffing issue.
Dr Saketa said the Ministry has provided boats to ensure doctors and nurses can visit the remote islands.
