The Ministry of Education is now tallying up the number of schools that have registered the students in their schools that travel by bus and are also calling on head teachers to come forward and register these students quickly.

After the announcement on late Thursday night by Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, schools were told to bring in the numbers to their respective Education offices.

However, as of mid-day today only 50% of primary schools and 80% of Secondary schools out of the 101 schools within the Serua-Suva area had registered their students for the Free Bus fare Program, which is set to start this Wednesday.

Close to 101 schools that the Suva Headquarters handles is from Ratu Latianara Primary and Secondary in Serua along the Navua area right up to the greater Suva area and Cavakilagi adds that the deadline for registering is today and school heads need to register quickly.
