Jarryd Hayne’s father and former Rabbitohs star Manoa Thompson has backed his son that he can make it in the NFL despite critics that has been made about his code switch.

Thompson said NFL has been in his sons thoughts for two years and claimed Hayne have the “athletic power” to succeed.

Thompson added that some will quickly dismiss Hayne’s chances in the cutthroat NFL but he has the athletic power to do it.

Meanwhile, NFL defending champions Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has labeled Hayne “an incredible athlete” and refused to rule out the possibility of signing the two-time Dally M medallist to a NFL contract.

Carroll was reluctant to confirm whether the club was interested in Hayne but is well aware of the superstar Parramatta fullback and his ability.
