Jarryd Hayne's dream of winning a spot with an NFL team will be known within a month, with the Detroit Lions expected to offer the former NRL star a spot on their practice squad.
Detroit Free Press writer David Birkett said Hayne will sign with the Lions next month.
Speculation over the former NRL star's future has been common since he returned to Australia in January after experiencing delays securing his US visa.
Birkett said Hayne's US VISA has been sorted out and is expecting something to happen in the next month.
Meanwhile Detroit Lions General Manager Martin Mayhew has confirmed that the team wants to sign Hayne.
