Jarryd Hayne barely played as the San Francisco 49ers produced an unlikely 19‑16 season‑ending win in overtime against the St Louis Rams.
The last‑gasp victory came after Dontae Johnson blocked a field goal which would have won the game for the Rams.
Hayne was only sighted on one play as a member of the coverage unit during a kick‑off.
He did not feature at all on offence.
The game was played in the wake of a report from Pro Football Talk which stated 49ers coach Jim Tomsula was to be sacked immediately after it finished.
