Former Fiji Bati and current Australian Kangaroos star Jarryd Hayne has expanded his trophy collection by picking up the last prestigious award for 2009, the Rugby League Players Association's Play - Player of the Year title.

The 21-year-old, who recently extended his commitment to the Parramatta Eels to the end of 2013, had previously won the Dally M Medal, International Player of the Year and the Brad Fittler Medal as NSW's best player in the State of Origin series against Queensland.

NRL Players voted on their opponent’s best player on a 3-2-1 points basis after each match of the regular season.

Hayne's extraordinary run from round 16 as the Eels stormed into the finals gave him the decision.
