Former Eels fullback star Jarryd Hayne stands to earn more than US$2 million over the next three years if he makes the 53‑man roster at the San Francisco 49ers.
Hayne's three‑year contract with the 49ers has now officially been lodged with the NFL, and is worth $US1.58 million.
The contract includes a $US107,100 guarantee as well as an $US8000 signing bonus, a financial incentives neither the Detroit Lions nor Seattle Seahawks were willing to offer the 27‑year‑old.
If Hayne, who is now part of the club's 90‑man preseason roster, does not make the cut, he will still walk away with $US115,000.
Meanwhile the Paramatta Eels will face the Bulldogs at 7.35pm Friday.
