The San Francisco 49ers have signed Jarryd Hayne to their practice squad.
Hayne, who went unclaimed after being waived by the club on Saturday, announced the signing on his verified Twitter account.
The former NRL star dream of playing NFL remains alive, and this will offer him further lessons so he make a true impact next season or perhaps later this year.
Hayne, all indications are, is OK with this switch because he knows it is part of his growth process.
49ners General manager Trent Baalke says he has been humble and professional since Day 1, and he was that way Saturday when the 49ers waived him.
