Fiji Bati hopeful Jarryd Hayne scored two tries for the Australian Prime Minister's side as they thrashed the Papua New Guinea Kumuls 50-10 last night in the annual match between the two teams.

The Australians had virtually secured the win by half-time when they led 30-4.

Prime Minister's fullback Hayne scored two of his side's nine tries.

Both sides used the game as an important selection trial for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup in England.

If Hayne is picked for the Kangaroos squad for the world cup, then he will not play for the Fiji Bati.

Meanwhile in the NRL grand final, the Sydney Roosters will meet the Manly Sea Eagles this Sunday at 9.15pm.
