Jarryd Hayne is officially a member of the San Francisco 49ers' NFL squad after he was named in the team's final 53‑man roster.
Playing as a running back and punt returner, Hayne made the cut after impressive performances in the preseason.
The former NRL and Fiji Bati star made the first cut on Tuesday, when the squad was reduced from 85 to 75, and is now a member of one of the best franchises in NFL history.
Hayne announced he had made the squad on Twitter.
Hayne will get his first chance to impress in the NFL when the San Francisco 49ers open their season against the Minnesota Vikings next week.
The 49ers have five Super Bowl trophies in their cabinet, the second‑best tally of any team in the league, with the most recent one in 1995.
