Former Fiji Bati fullback Jarryd Hayne is likely to play in Australia’s Rugby League World Cup quarterfinal against the US.

This is after coach Tim Sheens named Hayne in his 20 man squad which he will then cut back to 17 men for their game against the Tomahawks.

Some other players named in the squad are Cameron Smith, Johnathan Thurston, Daly Cherry-Evans, Andrew Fifita and Billy Slater.

Australia will meet USA at 3am Sunday.

In other quarterfinals, New Zealand faces Scotland at 9am tomorrow, England faces France at 9am Sunday and the Vodafone Fiji Bati will take on Toa Samoa in the last quarter final at 4am Monday.
