Jarryd Hayne fumbled a punt and didn’t impact the game but the San Francisco 49ers avoided their fourth loss in a row with a 25‑20 win over the Ravens this morning.
Hayne was expected to see an increased role due to the absence of Reggie Bush but the Aussie had one of his quietest games that started off on the wrong foot.
The former NRL star’s first punt return started well enough as he avoided a number of Ravens defenders with some fancy footwork before a tackle from behind resulted in him spilling the ball.
Hayne also took the field for a late kickoff return but again didn’t get his hands on the ball as the Ravens continued to put kicks over the end zone.
The 49ers will play the Seahawks this Friday at 12.25pm.
