Paramatta Eels Jared Hayne is ready to prove at the Rugby League World Cup in Australia, that he is the best winger in the rugby league code when he dons the Fiji Bati jumper.
After missing out on the Kangaroos line-up, Hayne was named in the Fiji team for the World Cup and is one of the most experienced players in the side as he has played in the top NRL competition.
While he was disappointed not to be named in the Australian side he believes this is a chance to prove himself.
Hayne said the understanding among the players in the Bati team is great and they are confident of a good outing.
Fiji is in Pool B with Scotland and France with the opening game on the 1st of November against France. The Rugby League World Cup officially starts this Saturday.
